The Annual "Dream Flight" to Orlando

Trip to the
West Coast - USA

"Purim Smile Train"

Super Summer Camp

Every year "Larger Than Life" flies 35 kids with cancer, escorted by a medical and nursing team, for two unforgettable weeks, to Orlando (Disney World) and Miami. During the  trip the kids visit all of the Disney parks, Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, "Arabian Nights", visit the NASA Space Center, EPCOT and Sea World. In Miami they visit "Everglades", the world's largest nature reserve; watch an NBA game featuring the "Miami Heat" team; take part in a fabulous cruise and many other attractions.

"Larger Than Life" flies 15 kids and a medical and nursing team for two magical weeks to the West Coast of the USA. The kids visit Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Las Vegas. During the trip the kids visit a huge number of attractions, including every good, beautiful and thrilling thing that the West Coast has to offer: Universal Studios, the Chinese Theater, Disneyland, "Water World", the Golden Gate Bridge, and much more.

At Purim time "Larger Than Life" invites all kids with cancer and their families to come aboard a special train from Haifa to Beer Sheba sponsored by the "Israel Train Authority." The kids are joined by clowns, make-up artists, performers and many other volunteers. All Purim celebrators enjoy a delicious, festive luncheon and a live show at "Caesar's Palace" in Beer Sheba. 1,200 people participate in this project every year!

Every July, "Larger Than Life" runs a special summer camp for five fun-filled days in northern Israel. Around 100 kids participate in this sleep-away camp, and are cared for by a dedicated medical and nursing staff. The kids have a great time taking part in challenge sports, parachute gliding, exciting helicopter rides, field trips all around this beautiful country, wild jeep trips and much more. Every night the kids celebrate, singing at a Karaoke party, dancing with D.J. watching live performances by best celebrity  performers.

Computer & Music Rooms

"Salute to LTL"
Soccer Game

Fun Days for Moms

"Medication Assistance" Fund

To make the children's hospital stay more pleasant, "Larger Than Life" is setting up Computer & Music Activity Rooms in oncology wards in hospitals all across the country. The first two rooms have already been dedicated at Rambam Hospital in Haifa and Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheba, at a total cost of $25,000 each. We plan to establish 10 more rooms for the benefit of kids with cancer in Israel.

Every year "Larger Than Life" holds a charity soccer game saluting our organization - with an ad-hoc team of Israeli soccer stars playing against their foreign colleagues. We invite the greatest soccer players of all times to be our guests in the audience. The festive event is broadcast live on the Israeli Sports Channel and on the Israeli Channel throughout the U.S. In the audience are our true guests of honor - Israeli children with cancer and their families. The game is also produced as a telethon, and the proceeds go toward Larger Than Life's long list of wonderful activities.

This year our organization launched a new activity for the mothers of "Larger Than Life" children. The vacation holiday for moms is designed to allow the women, who carry the greatest burden, to take some time off from their tough routine and re-energize for the next round of challenges. During the 'Fun Days' moms enjoy some well-deserved pampering in the form of cosmetic and beauty treatments, tours, workshops and full-board hospitality at a hotel.

"Larger Than Life" is in the process of establishing a Fund to finance medicine not found in the health basket, which can save the lives of children with cancer. The Fund will be chaired by Professor Miriam Ben Harush, head of the Pediatric Oncology Ward at Rambam Hospital, along with a professional medical team, which will review the requests and approve the dispensation of medicine. The Fund will be established in cooperation with the business community in Israel and abroad.

Recreational IV Bikes

 Birthday Angeles

Pre-School for Children with Cancer

Local Hospitals

Dozens of Bikes with attached IV stands were donated to Oncology Departments across Israel. The bikes are fun and easy to use, and hospitalized toddlers are happy to ride them. These bikes enable the children to play while still receiving treatment instead of lying in their beds.

As it is often difficult for children with cancer to leave home to celebrate life’s milestones, Larger Than Life offers a program that brings the party to them! Complete with balloons and birthday cake, we help create a joyful memory for the children, in the comfort of their own home, as they celebrate with friends and family.

A group of volunteers from Larger Than Life donated dozens of books to the oncology department of Winthrop Hospital in New York.  "You truly lifted our teenager's spirit", said Linda Sweeney, pediatric development manager at Winthrop Hospital. "The younger kids have many games to choose from, but it is harder for teenagers to find a meaningful way to entertain themselves and pass the long hours during treatments".
